Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!
Sunday Gospel Reflections
Time flies so fast. Especially on the internet. But we can still
take opportunities to pause, reflect and obtain some time for
prayer and reflection during this Christmas season. Given below
are three gospel reflections that dwell on the importance of
the Incarnation, Mary's blessedness and her gift to humanity,
the good example of the Holy Family and Jesus' mission to build a
greater family in God through the Church, and the spiritual value
of humility, and how God Himself teaches by example by revealing
Himself to the world as a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes on
a manger in Bethlehem:
"Blessed are you among women..."
"...I had to be in my Father's house"
We observed His star at its rising"
St. Romuald and the Camaldolese Order
St. Romuald was one of those who championed the Christian ideal
of "vita apostolica". His gift to the Church is a spirituality
that is rooted in Benedictine monasticism but modified to
accommodate an eremitical (or hermit) life within a religious
community.

Mary's Part in the Sanctification of Christians
According to St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, Mary plays a very
important role in our Christian journey to wholeness, holiness
and maturity in Christ. In this blog post, Montfort teaches how
God accomplishes this through His handmaid and servant Mary.

Sts. Nilus and John Gualbert
St. Romuald and the Camaldolese monks were not only the ones
who revived Christian fervor among the peoples in Europe. Others
who also were part of this movement were St. Nilus the Younger
and his establishment of an Eastern (Basilian) monastic community
near Rome, and St. John Gualbert and his establishment of the
Vallambrosian monks.
