Three More Ideas for Catholic Web Content Development

Web Content: Analyzing a Moral Issue (5 of 7)

If you had the opportunity to make a formal study in your moral
theology class or ethics class, then the analytical findings that
you have obtained in your study, will make very good material for
content development. Term papers, surveys, and other research
studies can be your source for analyzing a moral issue. Also the
study that you will develop as web content, can be beneficial
to Catholic social workers, who may want to learn how the study
can be applicable to their mission of working with individuals or
with communities.

Web Content: Reflecting on a Scripture Passage (6 of 7)

This article gives ideas on how we can develop content by simply
making reflections on a Scripture passage. One suggestion you can
follow, to base your own style and form of writing reflections, is
to structure your writing in three paragraphs: the first one would
be a recounting of the story in the passage, or a brief summary of
what teaching it contains; the second paragraph can be to mention
what bible scholars are commenting on the scriptural passage; and
the third paragraph can integrate the first two inputs and lead
it to a reflective conclusion.

Web Content: On Catechetical Teachings (7 of 7)

Another substantial source for web content development is by
reading and studying a catechetical topic and writing about it.
Aside from the Catechism book itself, we can use also a Catholic
dictionary in order to explain some terms which may be heavily
laden with theological meaning. And so that our writing may not
duplicate what is already written and indexed on the Web, we can
add a paragraph or two, which reflects on how the catechetical
teaching is important, and essential to living as a Catholic in
our particular states of life or vocation.

Solemnity of Corpus Christi (B)

Last Sunday, June 14, was the solemnity of the Body and Blood of
Christ - Corpus Christi. This is an important feast as it relates
to our Eucharistic way of life. This blog post gives all the
references to that Sunday's liturgical readings. It also has an
accompanying gospel reflection that makes us realize the great
value and significance of nourishing our souls with the Body and
Blood of Christ - the very life of God that feeds us and gives us
strength to do good works and remain in His love.

12th Sunday of the Year (B)

This coming Sunday, June 21, will be the 12th Sunday of the Year
(B). The gospel seems apropos to our present global distress. The
gospel tells the story of how Jesus had miraculously stilled the
storm and calmed the strong waves. And He performed the miracle
just by the command of His voice. This gospel miracle can help
us reflect on how we ourselves have responded to the "storms of
life", that are part of the mystery our being human, and a family
in the world. What were the "storms of life" that threatened our
faith in Christ? Perhaps the experience of being able to survive
these "storms of life" by seeking God's help, will teach us a
lesson in wisdom - a lesson that will guide us further on to keep
our faith in God when another "storm of life" enters our family
circle or clan.
